I’m Justin Two-Names, and I live for experiences.
I’m a product designer absolutely fascinated by the interconnected world at-large with a passionate drive to create memorable, user-centric experiences.
I’ve built a career designing things for people and believe that the more care we put into understanding one another, the more effectively we can create the experiences we create for each other everyday.
I got my start in college by studying the players of my favorite sport and the absolutely terrible equipment available to us in the disc golf market as an Industrial Design thesis project. Through heaps of research and a fair bit of diligence, I ended up creating a product line and a brand of gear, Grip Equipment, that set a new standard for comfort and style in the sport globally and earned an Emerging Business of the Year Award from the Kansas Legislature in 2014.
I’ve since sold the company and struck out as an independent designer working on all sorts of projects from 2-D on up to 4-D and across more media than I can list. From trash cans to purses, backpacks to branding, print to web, I confidently claim skill and experience across the gamut of design disciplines.
Combining that broad experience with degrees in both Industrial Design and Philosophy from the University of Kansas, as well as intensive education programs in User Experience Design from the Flatiron School, and entrepreneurship from the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurship, I offer a strong set of tools, knowledge, and experience in a single package. I understand how to set off with investigation and end up with complete experiences that enhance people’s lives.
